Filling up the applciation form

  • Read the instructions carefully.
  • Application Form has following section
    • Personal Details
    • Education Qualifications
    • Professional Experiences
    • Vigilance clearance (Only for Registrar and Librarian posts)
    • Upload Photo

  • Persons employed in Government and Semi-Government organizations should upload the NOC along with appointment order as single PDF in the experience section. The original NOC must be submitted at the time of interview.
  • All supporting document must be in PDF format. No other format are accepted.
  • Photo and singature must be JPG format. No other formats are accepted.
  • After completion of the form, the candidate has to click on "Preview and Submit" to submit the application form.
  • Download the application form from either email or login into the portal.
  • Please note that the candidature of the applicant will not be considered unless the application is submitted, for this applicant has to click Submit Application button

Fee details

  • ST/SC/PWD candidate has to pay non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 750.00.
  • OBC/UR/EWS candidate has to pay non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 1500.00.
  • A candidate can apply for multiple posts in a single registration form in the recruitment portal.
  • For multiple posts, the candidate has to pay the processing fees for the multiple posts. For instance, an UR candiate willing to apply for Senior Technician and Senior Assistant, the candaite has to pay Rs. 1500+1500=3000.00.

Payment method

  • Non – refundable application fees of ₹ 1,500.00 for UR/OBC/EWS candidates & ₹ 750.00 for SC/ST/PWBD candidates to be paid directly through online payment SB Collect portal at State Bank of India (https://www.onlinesbi.com). Follow the Instructions given below for making your payments.
    1. Access https://www.onlinesbi.sbi/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm
    2. Select Type of Category as "Educational Institutions"
    3. Select State as "Assam"
    4. Select the Name of the institution as "Online Fee collection account NIT Silchar"
    5. Select the payment category as "Application fee for Non Faculty Recruitment 2025"
    6. Fill the necessary fields
  • Note: SBI verifies valid permanent address. Please provide valid permanent address to the SBI Collect.
  • No other modes of payment are accepted.

After completion of application form

  • The candiate must download the applciation form with uploaded document by login in into the portal.
  • The candiate must sign the application form.
  • The printed copy of the downloaded application must be sent to

  • The candidate must write "Application for the post of ----------------" on the envelops.
  • For multiple posts, the candidate must prints multiple copies of the same application form and the signed printed application forms must be sent to the Registrar separately for each posts.

General Instructions

  1. The number of posts mentioned are tentative and may vary.
  2. All Qualification, Experience and age will be recognized as on the last date of submission of online application.
  3. The Institute reserves the right to cancel the recruitment of all or any post without assigning any reason thereof.
  4. The prescribed qualification and experience are minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for test / interview.
  5. No correspondence will be entertained with the candidates, who are not called for test / interview.
  6. Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification of candidature.
  7. Legal disputes, if any, will be restricted within the jurisdiction of Silchar Court only.
  8. Candidates should send their application form along with all supporting documents duly self attested.
  9. All reserved category candidates shall be required to submit self-attested copies of the latest Caste certificate issued by competent authority at the time of test / interview, if called for. Applicants belonging to OBC (NCL) / EWS category will have to submit latest OBC (NCL) / EWS certificate from Competent Authority in prescribed format as per Government of India norms. Similarly, PWBD candidates shall be required to submit proof of disability mentioning the percentage of disability issued by the Competent Authority
  10. The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of submitted information/documents and photograph. It is the responsibility of the applicant to assess his/her own eligibility to the post in accordance to the advertisement, if it is detected at any time in future, during the process of selection or even after appointment that the applicant was not eligible as per the prescribed Recruitment Rule of the Institute which could not be detected at the time of selection for whatsoever reason, his/her candidature/appointment shall be liable to be cancelled/terminated immediately.
  11. Candidates are requested to provide their active email Id / contact details in the application form for easy contact.

  15. The Institute reserves the right to reject any or all applications or it may amend any of the clauses above as per orders of the competent authority/Govt. of India.
  16. Incomplete/unsigned applications shall be summarily rejected and no communication in this regard shall be entertained.
  17. Candidate should click on the different posts in the same application form if he/she wishes to apply for more than one posts. For each posts, separate hard copy of the same application form must be sent to the Registrar.
